Notes
This press advertisement went to print the week before the night it announced: Psychic TV at the Fridge in Brixton on Wednesday 29 June 1988. It was a benefit "to save the Rhino," with the money going to WWF-UK, and Stitched-Back Foot Airman supported. The show appears in the Genesis Breyer P-Orridge archive's list of Psychic TV live dates, between the Astoria in April and Fields Park in July, noted as a Black Rhino benefit. The advertisement gives the night its full apparatus. A hand-lettered headline with a treble clef sits over a silhouetted rhinoceros, with the band's name in spaced capitals below. The WWF panda is at lower left and the City Limits mark at lower right. Tickets cost £5.00 in advance from Premier Stargreen, Rhythm Records, H + R Cloak and Vinyl Experience, each listed with its 01- telephone number. On the reverse is part of a weekly gig guide, set out London venue by London venue: Everything But The Girl at the Town & Country Club, Aztec Camera at the Royal Albert Hall, Erasure at a Gay Pride concert in Jubilee Gardens. Down the centre, in pencil, someone has written 25.6.88. They cut out a benefit gig for a rhinoceros, and wrote down when.
