Shipping & Handling

Every item from The New Rare is packed with care appropriate to its age, fragility, and value. We take the safe arrival of your purchase seriously.

Packaging

Items are packed using board-backed envelopes, rigid mailers, or double-walled boxes depending on size and fragility. Delicate or unbound material is wrapped in acid-free tissue. We do not reuse damaged packaging.

Dispatch

Orders are dispatched within 2–3 working days of payment confirmation. If there is any delay, we will contact you promptly.

Carriers

We select the most appropriate carrier for each order based on size, value, and destination. This may include Royal Mail, DHL, FedEx, or other reputable services. You will receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Tracking & Insurance

All orders are sent with tracking as standard. Orders over £100 are sent with insurance included. For high-value items, we may require a signature on delivery — this will be noted at checkout.

UK Shipping

We ship from the UK. Standard delivery within the UK typically takes 2–3 working days from dispatch.

International Shipping

We occasionally ship internationally, particularly when travelling or attending fairs abroad. If you are based outside the UK and interested in an item, please get in touch before purchasing and we will advise on availability, shipping costs, and timeframes.

Customs & Import Duties

International buyers are responsible for any customs fees, import duties, or taxes levied by their country. These charges are outside our control and are not included in the shipping cost.
