Condition: Very good. Light handling and faint surface marking, with minor creasing and softening at the lower corners. Complete and firmly bound, retaining the original blue overwrap.

Jointly organised by the Whitney Museum and Tate Modern, Roni Horn aka Roni Horn brought together approximately seventy works spanning more than thirty years. Sculpture, photography, drawing and artist’s books were installed across two floors of the Whitney without chronological order, allowing repeated forms and related works to appear apart from one another.

The guide begins with an instruction: “You may begin on either of the two floors.” Its smaller blue wrapper supplies the title, dates and gallery locations while covering part of a portrait from You Are the Weather. Turned over, the same face reappears in colour; title and subject exchange positions, and the publication repeats the exhibition’s structure of pairing, difference and return.

Published separately from the fully illustrated two-volume catalogue, the guide carried the exhibition’s arrangement through the galleries. Twenty-four pages convert the larger installation into routes, quotations, images and short entries on Iceland, doubling, identity and Horn’s relationship to Minimalism. The Whitney described the exhibition as the most comprehensive overview of her work then assembled.
