The poster reproduces two bronze sculptural objects against a dusty rose-pink ground: a tall floor-standing candelabrum and a low chaise longue with bolted side panels, circular portholes, turned legs, and draped fabric. Furniture, object, and surreal proposition collapse into a single printed surface.
Printed in Milan by Sergio Tosi — the experimental publisher and printer associated with postwar European avant-garde publications, artist books, and exhibition material. Belgian artist, London exhibition, Milanese production: the poster already records an international network of artistic exchange before entering the postal system.
The affixed address label and postal markings record the poster’s first movement through the postwar European museum network. Before entering a collection, the exhibition existed as correspondence — addressed, stamped, delivered, and retained.
