The exhibition was LINUS BILL and ADRIEN HORNI’s first with Nathalie Karg Gallery. Their collaborative practice moved between drawing, collage, scanning, publication and painting, with images passing repeatedly from one format and scale into another. The works shown in New York were identified by page-based titles including NY P.3 TL and NY P.8 TR, preserving their origin within a sequence of printed and assembled images.

Earlier that December, Printed Matter presented the artists’ small collages and publication material alongside framed works connected to the Nathalie Karg exhibition. The associated New York publication was produced in a numbered edition of 200.

Rather than reproducing one of the finished paintings, the invitation shows the yellow publication made for the project. The exhibition announcement therefore contains another printed object, which in turn contains an image intended to move onward into painting. Gallery, publication and artwork remain visible within the same small surface.
