An early institutional publication documenting Cristina Iglesias's sculpture from 1984–1987, issued for her exhibition at CAPC Musée d'Art Contemporain de Bordeaux.
The Bordeaux exhibition belongs to the period in which Iglesias was beginning to gain significant international attention. Her early sculptures already establish concerns that would continue throughout her practice: architecture, enclosure, surface, material and the relationship between an object and the space surrounding it.
A modest exhibition catalogue that now functions as historical residue: produced for a temporary exhibition and retained long after the exhibition disappeared.
This copy shows pronounced fading along the upper edge and spine, creating a graduated orange surface, with general edge and handling wear consistent with age.
