Collection: William Larson

William Larson (born 1942) is an American photographer and educator whose experimental practice from the late 1960s onwards explored the transmission and transformation of photographic information, most notably through his pioneering use of facsimile technology to generate sequential and process-based imagery. A professor at the Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia for many years, Larson was an early figure in conceptual photography in the United States. His work was included in Sequence (con)Sequence at Bard College in 1989 and is held in major museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
