Collection: Telfar Clemens

Telfar Clemens (born 1985) is an American fashion designer and the founder of the New York label Telfar, established in 2005. Clemens developed his practice within the downtown New York queer and Black cultural scene, and the label's democratic positioning — summarised in its motto "Not for you — for everyone" — was articulated from its earliest seasons. His appearances in publications including BUTT Magazine during the mid-2000s placed him within the independent cultural milieu from which his practice emerged. Telfar's Shopping Bag, introduced in 2014, became one of the most widely discussed fashion objects of the 2010s. Clemens received the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2017.
