Marcelo Krasilcic is an Argentine-born photographer based in New York whose images of bodies, spaces and social scenes in the downtown Manhattan milieu of the late 1990s and 2000s were published in BUTT Magazine and other independent titles. His work operates between snapshot and staged image, recording the physical and social texture of queer and art-adjacent nightlife and social space with an observational directness. Krasilcic's photographs were included in group exhibitions and have been the subject of ongoing critical attention within the context of queer image-making in New York at the turn of the century.
