Jack Smith

Original programme cards, invitations, and printed matter issued in conjunction with exhibitions and retrospectives devoted to Jack Smith (1932–1989). Smith was a central figure in underground American cinema, performance, and visual art, known for Flaming Creatures (1963) and his influence on generations of artists, filmmakers, and performers. Items here document institutional reappraisals of his legacy, including Anthology Film Archives retrospectives, preserving the printed infrastructure through which his work has continued to circulate.
