Francesco Bonami (born 1955) is an Italian curator and critic whose practice has centred on contemporary art, fashion, and the intersection of visual culture with broader social questions. Based between Florence and New York, he served as artistic director of the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003, one of the most expansive editions of the exhibition, and has held curatorial positions at institutions including the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin. He has organised major exhibitions for Pitti Immagine and has written extensively for publications including Frieze, Artforum, and La Repubblica.
