Collection: Antonin Artaud
Antonin Artaud (1896–1948) — poet, theorist, actor, and draughtsman. Author of The Theatre and Its Cruelty, Van Gogh the Man Suicided by Society, and the Sorts: calligraphed, drawn, and burned letters made during his confinement at Rodez. His graphic work — produced in the final years of his life at the maison de santé du Dr Delmas, Ivry — operates at the limit of writing and image, inscription and wound.
