The image reproduces Anti Paris, May 6th, 2001: a dark opaque glass bottle isolated against a pale ground, surrounded by the practical language of exhibition publicity — artist name, dates, venue, funders, logos, address, and image credit. Object, image, product, and document on a single surface.

Moulène’s practice has long moved between object, product, photograph, document, and display. His works often resist the category of conventional sculpture, treating objects as things already implicated in systems of production, use, labour, and circulation. This poster is not an editioned artist’s multiple, and should not be overstated as such. But it is unusually aligned with the artist’s own logic: the bottle that appears on it is already an object that refuses easy classification — product, specimen, prop, sculpture.

The poster does not become an object because the artist declares it one. It becomes legible as an object because Moulène’s practice already operates through that ambiguity — and because this printed support has survived its temporary function. Scarce in circulation rather than rare in the strict editioned sense. A modest institutional poster, now reclassified through retention, handling, ownership, and renewed display.

Paper as announcement. Image as object. Object as record.

Condition: Good handled condition. Visible dog-ear to upper left corner, surface creasing, light edge wear, and softening from storage and display. The wear remains part of the object’s circulation history.
