Collection: Jean-Luc Moulène

Jean-Luc Moulène (b. 1955, Rouen) works across object, photograph, document, and display. His practice resists the category of conventional sculpture, treating things as already implicated in systems of production, use, labour, and circulation — products, specimens, tools, and industrial forms reclassified through attention and placement.

His work has been exhibited internationally, including solo presentations at the Musée National d’Art Moderne, Centre Pompidou, Paris; Modern Art Oxford; and Dia Art Foundation, New York. He represented France at the 2003 Venice Biennale.
