Collection: Massao Mascaro

Massao Mascaro (b. 1990, Lille) is a Brussels-based photographer who studied at Le 75 in Brussels and Blank Paper Escuela in Madrid. His work begins with territory — gardens, streets, public parks — treating these spaces as recurring, almost mythical sites rather than bounded locations. His series Jardin received the BOZAR Monography Series Award in 2016 and was presented at the Centre for Fine Arts, Brussels, in 2017. The related photobook was published in 2019 by Witty Books and L’éditeur du dimanche in an edition of 500 copies.

The material gathered here records that practice through gallery-issued artist cards and printed ephemera.
