Marina Abramovic

Marina Abramovic is a Serbian performance artist whose practice has centred on the body as both subject and medium. From early durational works testing physical and psychological endurance through to large-scale institutional retrospectives, her work has been central to the development of performance art as a recognised form within contemporary art institutions.
