Original double-sided folded poster produced for Mounir Fatmi’s 2004 exhibition Comprendra bien qui comprendra le dernier at Le Parvis, centre d’art contemporain. Recto features a colour image of books connected by multicoloured electrical cables, relating closely to Fatmi’s Connections works, in which religious texts, philosophical books, fiction, political writing and other printed matter are linked together through an unstable electrical network.

Verso printed with exhibition details, venue information, dates, and the accompanying video programme Survival signs, œuvres vidéo 1990–2004. Designed as a folded poster/announcement, with strong typographic restraint on one side and a charged, image-based composition on the other.

Fatmi’s work often examines how language, belief, media and ideology circulate. Books in his practice are never neutral containers. They transmit knowledge, but they can also carry violence, censorship, contradiction and authority. In this poster, reading appears as a live circuit: energetic, unstable, and potentially dangerous. The object becomes more than exhibition information; it is a printed extension of the work’s own logic of connection.
