Exhibition poster, Isa Genzken, Sie sind mein Glück (You Are My Luck). Kunstverein Braunschweig e.V., Braunschweig, 2000. Offset lithograph on paper, 59.5 × 84 cm.
Published for the exhibition at Kunstverein Braunschweig e.V., Haus Salve Hospes, Lessingplatz 12, 38100 Braunschweig, 11 June – 27 August 2000. The exhibition was accompanied by a Kunstverein Braunschweig catalogue edited by Karola Grässlin, with texts by Diedrich Diederichsen and Rita Kersting.
The poster reproduces a full installation view of the exhibition: six tall vertical sculptural columns in the white gallery space, combining yellow and black striped surfaces, inset panels of wood, blue, and red, mirrored and metallic elements, and perforated metal. The image is set against a white ground with bold black sans-serif typography — artist name, quoted title, dates, and institutional information printed along the lower margin.
Genzken had been central to German postwar sculpture since the 1970s, moving between precise Minimal and architectural forms, photography, film, collage, and later assemblage. The 2000 Braunschweig exhibition sits at an important point between her earlier structural investigations and the looser, material language that would become increasingly visible in the 2000s.
Within The New Rare register, the poster functions as more than announcement material. It transfers the exhibition into a public printed surface: photograph, title, institution, dates, address, opening hours. The installation becomes legible through graphic design and circulation. A temporary exhibition is compressed into a durable paper object.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Light signs of handling and storage consistent with exhibition poster circulation.
Ships rolled or flat-packed depending on destination and condition needs.
