Issued for the inauguration of Buñuel, 100 ans: Il est dangereux de se pencher au-dedans at the Centre Pompidou, Paris, on 9 May 2000, this double-sided card organised by the Centre Pompidou and the Instituto Cervantes admitted two people to an evening combining a screening of Le Journal d'une femme de chambre (1964), a private visit to the exhibition, and a reception.

Produced for the centenary of Buñuel's birth, the card places one of cinema's most unsettling image-makers inside the formal language of the museum. His career moved from the Madrid circle of Salvador Dalí and Federico García Lorca, through the Surrealist ruptures of Un Chien Andalou and L'Âge d'Or, to Mexican exile and the later French films made with Jean-Claude Carrière. Here, that disruptive history is reformatted as programme, timetable and institutional admission.

Offset-printed in yellow and black on coated card stock, 15 × 20.5 cm. Recto carries a film still from Cela s'appelle l'aurore (1955); verso carries the inauguration programme, institutional credits and admission details. Condition: excellent, with only light handling consistent with circulation.

Securely packed; tracked UK and international shipping available.
