A compact printed record gathering more than two decades of work around the minor materials of daily life. Wurtz’s practice has long moved through the overlooked object: bags, shoelaces, food containers, socks, buttons, paper, domestic fragments. Rather than monumentalizing these things, he alters their status through arrangement, attention, and placement.

This booklet operates in parallel with that logic. It is not simply documentation after the exhibition. It is a second support through which the work becomes legible: image, interview, chronology, bibliography, gallery name, object record. Published by Feature, the catalogue also carries the trace of Hudson’s gallery as a specific system of circulation — one that brought modest, resistant, difficult-to-classify practices into view without smoothing them into market polish.

Here Wurtz’s work passes from sculpture into printed matter, from daily object into exhibition, from exhibition into archive. A small catalogue, but exact in its terms: ordinary materials reclassified; authorship distributed through conversation, chronology, and display; daily life made available as an art-historical category.
