Collection: Valery Oisteanu

Valery Oisteanu (1943–2018) was a Romanian-born American poet, artist and cultural critic based in New York whose work was associated with Dada, Surrealism and the international Fluxus-adjacent avant-garde. He contributed poetry, visual art and criticism to numerous publications across the New York underground scene over four decades, and was a regular presence in the downtown literary and arts communities centred on the East Village. Oisteanu contributed to Bald Ego no. 3 (c. 2004), edited by Glenn O’Brien and Max Blagg.
