Collection: Tomma Abts

Tomma Abts (b. 1967) — German-born, London-based painter and winner of the 2006 Turner Prize. Working exclusively in a fixed small format (48 × 38 cm), Abts builds her paintings through an extended process of revision and overpainting, arriving at abstract forms that appear both discovered and inevitable. Her work is held in major public collections internationally.
