Collection: Tim Head

Tim Head (born 1946) is a British artist whose practice from the 1970s onwards engaged installation, photography, and digital media to investigate perception, representation, and the instability of image and environment. His early works used projection, mirrors, and photographic documentation to question the boundary between object and image, placing him within the British Conceptual Art scene of the period. Head studied at the University of Newcastle and under Joseph Beuys at Düsseldorf, and has exhibited extensively in Britain and Europe, including participation in the Arts Council of Great Britain touring exhibition Artist and Camera (1980). He is represented in the collections of the Tate and the Arts Council Collection.
