Collection: Thurston Moore
Thurston Moore (b. 1958) is an American musician, poet, and artist, best known as a founding member and guitarist of Sonic Youth. His practice extends beyond music into publishing, poetry, and visual art, with a sustained engagement with the downtown New York scene that connected experimental music, No Wave, and the visual art world from the early 1980s onwards.
Moore has collaborated extensively with visual artists, curators, and writers, and has been involved in numerous artist-led publishing projects. His participation in Mike Kelley's Plato's Cave, Rothko's Chapel, Lincoln's Profile, recorded live at Artists Space, New York, in 1986, is among the most documented intersections of his practice with the contemporary art world.
Publications and recordings gathered here document Moore's involvement in art-adjacent projects and collaborations. Original and period items.
