Theresa Duncan (1966–2007) was an American writer, filmmaker and video game designer whose work occupied the intersection of art, technology and cultural criticism. She created a series of CD-ROM games for girls in the mid-1990s, including Chop Suey (1995) and Smarty (1996), produced by Theresa Duncan and Jeremy Blake and published by Magnet Interactive Studios. Duncan also wrote cultural journalism and maintained an influential blog, The Wit of the Staircase, in the years before her death. She contributed to Bald Ego no. 3 (c. 2004), edited by Glenn O’Brien and Max Blagg.
