Collection: TDS Crew
TDS Crew (The Death Squad) was a New York graffiti crew active in the late 1970s and 1980s whose members painted extensively on the New York subway system. The crew was among the established tags and collective names documented in the photographic and critical literature of the New York graffiti movement and appeared in the context of the Whitney ISP exhibition The Power of the City / The City of Power (1992), which addressed graffiti as a practice of urban inscription and resistance alongside more institutionally recognised art forms.
