Roberta Allen (born 1945) is an American artist and writer whose practice moves between visual art, fiction and experimental narrative, often combining image and text to explore psychological states, perception and the nature of storytelling. Associated with the New York art world of the 1970s, she exhibited at the Clocktower Gallery and was included in significant group exhibitions of the period. She has subsequently published numerous works of fiction and taught widely as a writing instructor.
