Robert Malaval (1937–1980) was a French painter associated with the Nouveau Réalisme and later with rock culture and the French underground. His early work, including the Aliment blanc series, used white paste and organic matter; later he turned to glitter, sequins and a flamboyant visual language tied to performance and music.
