Collection: Renate Aller
Renate Aller is a German-born photographer based in New York whose work focuses on the ocean horizon as a sustained subject for photographic and meditative investigation. Her long-term series Oceanscapes documents the sea at Fire Island across changing light and weather conditions, exploring perception, time and the limits of representation. Her work has been exhibited at galleries and institutions in the United States and Europe and published in monograph form. Aller contributed to Bald Ego no. 2 (2002), edited by Glenn O’Brien and Max Blagg.
