Collection: Melanie Counsell

Melanie Counsell is a British artist whose practice has engaged with installation, photography and the conditions of exhibition-making since the late 1980s. Associated with a generation of British artists who emerged around the time of the Young British Artists, Counsell's work is characterised by restraint, spatial precision and an attention to the institutional and architectural frames through which art is encountered. She has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally.
