Collection: Marie-Laure de Noailles

Marie-Laure de Noailles (1902–1970) was a French patron, collector and amateur artist who, with her husband Charles de Noailles, was among the most significant supporters of the avant-garde in interwar Paris. They commissioned Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí’s L’Âge d’or (1930) and Man Ray’s Les Mystères du Château de Dé (1929), and their Hôtel Bischoffsheim was a meeting point for Surrealists, composers and writers.
