Collection: James Mullord

James Mullord is a London-based fabricator and maker working across contemporary art, exhibition production and installation.

For THE NEW RARE EDITIONS, 2026, Mullord fabricated a number of the exhibition’s key physical structures, including the Diagonal Corridor, Fixture, and Bookshelf, French Publications. Moving between temporary architecture, lighting, furniture and display, these works helped establish the physical system through which the exhibition was encountered.

The exhibition itself was conceived around shifting relationships between object, document, artwork, storage and architecture, with fabrication treated not simply as technical support but as part of a wider structure of delegated production and displaced authorship.

Mullord has also fabricated work for artists including Mark Leckey and Arthur Jafa.

This collection brings together works, editions and objects connected to his fabrication practice and his ongoing relationship with The New Rare.
