Collection: James Langdon

James Langdon (born 1979) is a British graphic designer and editor based in Birmingham, whose practice moves between commissioned design, publishing and curatorial work. He studied at the Royal College of Art and began his career at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, where he first encountered the work of Tony Arefin. His subsequent practice has centred on printed matter as both medium and subject, with particular attention to the relationship between graphic design, institutional context and the distribution of art. He has designed publications for a wide range of artists and institutions, and co-founded the artist-run imprint Eastside Projects Press. His 2012 catalogue for Ikon Gallery, Arefin & Arefin: The Graphic Design of Tony Arefin, is among the most considered graphic-design monographs produced in Britain in the period.
