Jacqueline Morreau

Jacqueline Morreau (1929–2016) was an American-born painter and printmaker who lived and worked in Britain from 1972. Her figurative work drew on mythology, literature and feminist politics, and she was a central figure in the feminist art movement in Britain during the 1970s and 1980s. She co-organised the landmark exhibitions Women's Images of Men and About Time at the ICA, London, in 1980, and co-edited the anthology Women's Images of Men published by Writers and Readers in 1985.
