Collection: Gerard Malanga
Gerard Malanga (born 1943) is an American poet, photographer and filmmaker who worked as Andy Warhol’s primary assistant at The Factory from 1963 to 1970, collaborating on the production of silkscreen paintings, films and publications. As a poet he was associated with the New York School and contributed to numerous small press publications; his photography documented the Factory environment and its circle extensively. Malanga co-founded the literary journal Interview with Warhol in 1969 and has published numerous collections of poetry and photography. He contributed to Bald Ego no. 3 (c. 2004).
