Collection: Ana Maria Pacheco
Ana Maria Pacheco (born 1943) is a Brazilian-born sculptor, printmaker and painter who has lived and worked in Britain since 1973. Her large-scale polychrome wood sculptures and prints draw on Brazilian folk tradition, colonial history and the imagery of power, ritual and violence. She was Head of Fine Art at Norwich School of Art and has exhibited widely in Britain and internationally; her work is held in the collections of the Tate and the British Museum.
