Collection: Wes Mills
Wes Mills (b. 1960) is an American artist whose work centres on drawing as a practice of reduction, attention, and near-disappearance. Working primarily in graphite and ink on paper, Mills produces marks that hold close to the threshold of visibility — partial forms, faint inscriptions, and large areas of unmarked surface. His work has been exhibited at Joseph Helman Gallery, New York, and reviewed in The New York Times and Artnet Magazine, among other publications. The Missoula Drawings series, shown in January–February 2000, takes its name from a specific place and drawing sequence.
