Collection: Suzie Silver

Suzie Silver (born 1960) is an American artist and filmmaker whose video and performance works from the 1990s onward engage queer identity, popular culture, and the politics of desire through camp, humour, and formal experimentation. Working in Pittsburgh and New York, she produced single-channel videos and installations that drew on music video, television, and subcultural imagery to interrogate gender and sexuality. Her work has been exhibited at the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, and screened at festivals and institutions across the United States and Europe.
