Raffael Rheinsberg (born 1943) is a German artist whose practice centres on the collection, arrangement and transformation of found industrial and institutional objects — tools, remnants, waste material — into installations that function as material archives of labour, use and disappearance. His work addresses the history lodged in discarded objects and the traces left by anonymous collective activity. He has exhibited widely in Germany and in international contexts concerned with memory, history and the aesthetics of remains.
