Collection: Paula Izydorek

Paula Izydorek is an American painter who studied at the San Francisco Art Institute. Working primarily with acrylic, coloured pencil and birch wood panels, she builds dense systems of repeated lines, interlocking profiles and natural grain. Her Olo series treats the painted surface as a shared field, using paired forms to consider intimacy, memory, environment and the ways one person is altered through contact with another. Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions including Rosewood Gallery, Kettering, where Olo Co-L 3.14.1 appeared in 2018.

The material gathered here records that practice through independently produced brochures, catalogues and exhibition ephemera. Image, statement, biography and contact information are assembled by the artist into portable structures through which the work entered circulation.
