Michael Sandle (born 1936) is a British sculptor whose monumental bronze works draw on the traditions of war memorials, civic allegory, and moral condemnation. Associated with a strand of British figurative sculpture that resisted both Minimalism and the dominant abstraction of the postwar decades, his practice centres on themes of violence, militarism, and collective memory. His large-scale A Twentieth Century Memorial (1971–78) brought him sustained critical attention, and major retrospectives have been held at the Whitechapel Gallery and the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munich.
