Collection: Lynda Benglis

Lynda Benglis (born 1941) is an American artist whose poured latex works, knotted wire sculptures, and provocative self-promotional imagery positioned her at the intersection of Post-Minimalism, feminism, and performance from the late 1960s onward. Working across sculpture, video, and photography, she challenged conventions of both artistic medium and gender representation, most notably with her 1974 Artforum advertisement. Her work has been exhibited at the Paula Cooper Gallery, New York, and she was the subject of a major survey at the New Museum, New York, in 2009.
