Joel Fisher (born 1947) is an American artist based in Britain whose practice centres on handmade paper, drawing, and sculpture that investigate the relationship between material process, language, and form. His works, often intimate in scale, engage with the act of making as itself a subject. He has exhibited internationally and his work is held in major collections in Europe and the United States. He participated in The Sculpture Show at the Hayward Gallery and Serpentine Gallery in 1983.
