Collection: Jean Follett
Jean Follett (1917–1995) was an American sculptor and assemblage artist associated with the New York Hansa Gallery group in the 1950s. Working with found objects, wire, and mixed materials, she produced relief constructions and freestanding works that combined organic and industrial elements with a distinctive tactile and spatial complexity. She participated in the landmark 1961 exhibition The Art of Assemblage at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, one of the few women included in that survey of postwar assemblage practice.
