Collection: Gregg Bordowitz

Gregg Bordowitz (born 1964) is an American artist, filmmaker, and writer whose video work and activism from the late 1980s onward addressed the AIDS crisis, queer identity, and the politics of representation with formal intelligence and personal urgency. A member of ACT UP and a co-founder of the Testing the Limits collective, he produced documentary and experimental videos that blurred the boundaries between testimony, theory, and art. His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, and he has taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
