Collection: Giorgio Sadotti
Giorgio Sadotti (born 1962, London) is a British artist whose practice spans installation, text, performance and publishing, characterised by an understated wit and a sustained interest in the conventions and absurdities of institutional and everyday language. He studied at Goldsmiths College, London, and was among the generation of artists active in the early 1990s YBA milieu, participating in group exhibitions including Instructions at Gio’ Marconi, Milan, in 1992. His subsequent practice has worked across small-scale multiples, artist publications and durational projects, often engaging with systems of exchange, value and display in ways that resist straightforward categorisation. He has exhibited in the United Kingdom and internationally, and has been associated with artist-run initiatives and independent publishing projects throughout his career.
