Collection: Elizabeth Wright
Elizabeth Wright is a British artist whose practice often defamiliarises ordinary objects and existing architectural structures, shifting them into sculptural or perceptual events. Her work operates through subtle shifts in everyday architecture and site-specific public commissions, turning car parks, tunnels, platforms, and transit infrastructure into viewing apparatus.
Her public commissions include works for the Gateshead Metro tunnel (2005, commissioned by Nexus, curated by Locus+) and other site-specific projects across the UK. She has been associated with Locus+, the Newcastle-based agency for the commissioning and production of time-based and site-specific art.
Items in this section include artist publications and printed matter produced in connection with Wright’s public and site-specific works.
