Dara Birnbaum

Original exhibition invitations, fair announcements, and printed matter featuring or relating to Dara Birnbaum (b. 1946). A pioneering figure in video art, Birnbaum appropriated and deconstructed television imagery to expose the ideological structures of mass media. Items here preserve the printed infrastructure through which her practice has circulated.
