Collection: Carl Plackman

Carl Plackman (1943–2004) was a British sculptor whose practice engaged with assemblage, metaphor, and the psychological charge of objects placed in deliberate spatial and material relationships. Associated with a poetic, allusive strand of British sculpture, his work resisted easy categorisation. He exhibited widely in Britain and was included in The Sculpture Show at the Hayward Gallery and Serpentine Gallery in 1983.
