Bill Woodrow (born 1948) is a British sculptor who emerged in the early 1980s as a central figure in the generation that transformed found domestic objects into works of deadpan wit and social commentary. His practice of cutting and reconfiguring discarded appliances, vehicles, and consumer goods into new sculptural forms became closely associated with the New British Sculpture movement. He was shortlisted for the Turner Prize in 1986 and has exhibited internationally, with major retrospectives at institutions including the Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
